Important:
There are some minor machining lines visible on the center of the mold's surface, which were challenging to fully smooth out while creating the master piece. These lines are minimal and are only present in the center. Though the surface has been polished to a smooth finish, the lines may still be noticeable under certain lighting conditions.
We attempted to add a resin layer to correct this, but doing so would have reduced the space available for artists to apply their own top coats. To preserve more working space for creativity, I chose to leave it as is, allowing artists the flexibility to add their preferred final layer of epoxy.
If you work with concrete or Jesmonite, this will not affect your casts.
For trays and functional pieces:
Many artists apply a tabletop epoxy layer to the functional surface for added scratch resistance and protection against heat and chemicals.
The machining lines are minimal, but we believe in transparency, so we're mentioning them here for full clarity. These marks are restricted to the center, while the edges and sides maintain a high standard of shine and smoothness.
About the design:
This design was entirely created by us, from the initial sketch to the final mold. It was inspired by ancient Victorian styles, which were a significant trend during early eras of decorative art and design.
